Lift maintenance, servicing and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) services for London and Kent
Up to 25% of lift breakdowns and repair work is caused by poor maintenance; with less clients per engineer and a detailed 40 point PPM checklist our lift servicing consistently reduces downtime, repairs, and operating costs.
All elevators suffer breakdowns occasionally, which inevitably leads to inconvenience and unexpected costs. At Dainton Lift Services we're strong believers in planned preventative maintenance contracts as one of the best ways our clients can save money, reduce downtime, and get the most from their lift installation.
We tailor our maintenance contracts around the individual needs of our clients, carrying out a full survey of your system, consulting on any points of concern or possible modifications that could improve it, and agreeing a regular program of works that meets both your requirements and the demands your lifts face.
A comprehensive maintenance plan
Unlike many lift services companies we don't believe in rushed 15 minute servicing visits. Our lift maintenance engineers each have fewer clients allocated to them than the industry average, ensuring they have the time to carry out our comprehensive maintenance plan on every visit.
The checklist focuses on a range of critical components and parts, both those that suffer the most wear and tear, and those most important for meeting safety and legislative requirements, some of these carried out on every visit include:
- Check all alarms are working
- Test UPS units
- Clean pit car top
- Check auto diallers (power down)
- Check all safety switches
Everything is managed through the Protean management system, which is specifically designed for lift contracts. It enables our engineers and technicians to access and update your maintenance records through a PDA system which can produce a range of reports for clients, and enables our engineers to report in real time on job completions, create worksheets, and request additional works or lift repairs if necessary. Each PPM contract includes monthly reporting and a free annual maintenance audit to ensure the contract and works are delivering exactly what your lift installations need.
